WEIRD MOMENTS IN ROCK HISTORY: Rick James and Neil Young In 1966, Rick and Neil were both in a Toronto band called the Mynah Birds. They recorded several songs for Motown which were lost in the archives for decades. Later they both went on to great success with solo careers so different that it’s almost impossible to imagine they once played together.  And what did they sound like?
