WEIRD MOMENTS IN ROCK HISTORY: Spector and Manson
A crazy rumor I heard: Musical murderers Phil Spector and Charles Manson are both serving time in California’s Corcoran State Prison… apparently Charlie has been trying to get Phil to produce some of his new songs. But Phil isn’t really interested. Maybe because he used to work with real talent like The Beatles and Leonard Cohen …. or maybe he just doesn’t have access to mics and a mixing board in maximum security.
BTW: Did you know that the Beach Boys once recorded a creepy Manson song before the murders started? Oops.
