BuffaloJuly 1995 Somewhere in South Dakota, my friend and I drove by this here buffalo standing in a dirt road. It wasn’t a national park or anything… just some random field with (the last remaining) wild buffalo walking around. I later learned that they will charge and kill you if you’re annoying them, which I probably was as I followed it down the road. South Dakota is a huge state but somehow we saw all this in one day: Mount Rushmore, a buffalo, Wounded Knee, The Badlands, Wall Drug, and the Corn Palace. Were days just longer back then?
