Brown Rainbows
With all the attention on “double rainbows” recently, let’s not forget to touch on the type of rainbow I like best: The non-rainbow colored rainbow (especially brown).
While never seen in the actual sky, these rainbows were commonplace in the graphic design of the 70’s and 80’s. I love them so much that I created a Flickr pool which you are all invited to contribute to!
“A Song Of Ice And Fire” Character Sketchbook Spread.
This is going to be a really geeky post, but bear with me. HBO just announced that they are a greenlighting a TV adaptation of my favorite fantasy novel epic by George R.R. Martin. I can’t imagine how they will pull it off; I’ve never read another book with so many characters. Look at that two-page spread I drew of character portraits. (…still unfinished since the series is only half-published!) I just want to implore everyone to read the books now before you see the show because it’s an awesome experience.
