I was in Caracas, Venezuela a couple weeks ago.
Caracas, Venezuela!
Here’s a couple photographs of interesting sights.
An exciting, weird, familiar, generous, scary, delicious, sexy, musical place with alot of dancing and enormous hamburgers.
My first time in South America, but definitely not my last.

Three family photographs I found of the World Trade Center.
Two are from a day in 2000 when my brother and I walked there.
The other one was taken by my dad back in 1970 when it was being built.

Landing at Laguardia Airport last week, I looked out the window of the plane and saw my apartment. These digital cameras are getting incredible. How many more megapixels would I have really needed to see the little cactus on my windowsill?

PAFFLAGE X
Here’s my contribution to a group art/photo project conceived and curated by my friend William Rahilly. The whole thing requires a bit of explanation.
GHOST RADAR
I’ve started a new Tumblelog which I implore you to follow. It’s basically only photos and images that I discovered in weird places that for whatever reason inspired me and intrigued me. Weird colors… weird emotions… where are they from? Who created them? Why are they so mysterious!???
The Underground Museum
The only thing I like about waiting for subways in NYC is that I have a chance to admire the abstract masterpieces on the wall. Now you know I’m no artsy academic, but when I say this is Post-modern Dadaist organic brilliance I mean it. The effect of seeing slick Hollywood photography get gradually ripped up, tagged on, and pasted over is so interesting that I imagine most design studios wish they could simulate it. Take a look at my slideshow and see if you agree; The subway tunnels are as good as MOMA.
