NEW MUSIC VIDEO: “Nadine”
I did the animation for this music video of the band Project Jenny Project Jan.
It stars Kelli Giddish of Law & Order: SVU and was the live action was directed by John Lord.
I’ve always wanted to make some surreal cartoon food.

March is Music Month
Anyone who’s looked at my site for more than 5 seconds has probably noticed that I’m bonkers for music of all kinds. So for the next 31 days, I’ll be posting my favorite animations and drawings of mine that pertain to rock, rap, country, metal, doowop, funk, soul, and the very act of music appreciation itself.
Music Month…Can I count it off? 1-2-3-4!
WEIRD MOMENTS IN ROCK HISTORY:
Keith Moon and Mama Cass Died In The Same Bed
It’s a little known but totally insane true fact; Two of the most famous rock music deaths occurred in the very same bedroom 4 years apart. Not only that, but the apartment was owned by Harry Nilsson, another musical icon.
Needless to say, if I was ever spending the night there, I’d crash on the couch.
Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti
Every year, the website HypeM.com does this thing called “Zeitgeist” where they ask 50 illustrators to make a drawing for the top 50 artists of the past year. I was psyched when they asked me to make an Ariel Pink drawing because I love his music. I tried to visually capture what his new album sounded like to me: the colors, the texture, the vibe etc.
PS: Last year they asked me to draw Kanye, click here to see that one.
PPS: I draw sharks alot for some reason!
THE TRAVELING WILBURYS
(clockwise from top left: Jeff Lynne, George Harrison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison)
Why is this supergroup so forgotten? Sure, their albums aren’t exactly the sum of their parts and maybe all of our dads “de-cooled” them by overplaying the cassette tapes… But it’s the closest we have to a Dylan/Beatle duet… which also happens to feature Tom Petty at his peak, rock pioneer Orbison, and the guy from ELO thrown into the mix. Give it a listen if you like classic rock lineage.
Some Grills
I’ll mess with every Rolling Stones album cover at some point.
WEIRD MOMENTS IN ROCK HISTORY: Elvis Meets Nixon.
December 21, 1970- Elvis secretly drops by the Oval Office. He gives Nixon a gun as a gift and Nixon gives him the honorary title of “Federal Agent At-Large” for the Bureau of Narcotics (irony!!). They discuss how the Beatles were an evil influence on the nation’s youth and how maybe Elvis could help to end drug use among the hippie population (!?!). Then they say goodbye. You can’t make this stuff up.
