It’s Thursday. I’m Gonna Fly Now.
By the way; is The Expendables worth seeing? Any good?
Michael Caine’s Chillout Room
My new cartoon for Atom.com explores Sir Michael Caine’s unexpected love of the trance-lounge electronica scene. Most specifically his self-imposed duty to keep ravers hydrated. Starring College Humor’s Sam Reich as the old thespian himself.
I’m on way to Chicago today…
a spur-of-the-moment weekend adventure to see some friends.
Here’s some things I hope to do there.
Do any of you guys know any other really fun/weird things to do there?
Please send me some suggestions!
NEW VIDEO!
Karate Kid 2 featuring Chazz
What happens when I give “Karate Kid 2” the Roger Rabbit-treatment 25 years too late with a cartoon bird voiced by comedian Thomas Middleditch? THIS!
For some reason this panel from my upcoming comic book “Future Spy” is looking like an 80’s hardcore punk flyer. And I dig that.
Sketchbook Exercise #48456:
Draw the bar you’re currently in.
You might as well walk away with something to show for yourself.
Drawn in “snug and evil” McSorley’s Ale House years ago (the only time I ever went there come to think of it)
Watermelon Nights covered by some guy in Brazil.
Well, the production is sparse and the strumming is raw but he sings with soul. I just wish he had translated it into Portuguese. Anybody else out there want to cover it!? Please do and let me know!
Future-Spy phase 4: Dialogue Lettering
In making my new comic-book “Future-Spy”, this was definitely the step I was dreading the most. It’s turned out to be just as challenging, but alot more fun than I predicted. It’s nice to get that dialogue written out and know that your script process is done. I’ll probably go back and re-letter some words, but as my friend and comic book mentor Benjamin Marra told me, “Don’t worry about making it look perfect, no one will notice if a letter looks weird once it’s shrunk down”
**oh and yes, this comic book will be ‘suggested for mature readers’. Sorry kids, the future is for adults.
Welcome to Neil Young & Crazy Borscht
I recently moved to Greenpoint, Brooklyn; a neighborhood dotted with a seemingly endless number of Polish restaurants. Since then, I’ve quickly become a borscht vampire, craving the red fluid in an insatiable manner that does not cease, even when I sleep. In this stupid new blog, I intend to review each and every borscht dish in the city, while at the same time comparing them to Neil Young albums… because nothing varies in quality as much as Neil Young albums and borscht.

Brown Rainbows
With all the attention on “double rainbows” recently, let’s not forget to touch on the type of rainbow I like best: The non-rainbow colored rainbow (especially brown).
While never seen in the actual sky, these rainbows were commonplace in the graphic design of the 70’s and 80’s. I love them so much that I created a Flickr pool which you are all invited to contribute to!
